A Father's Gift

As my first stroke in the new year, here's some pieces of news about the publication of a bilingual book of poetry by Eka Budianta. The title is Hadiah Seorang Ayah, which is quite apt, since the poet had wanted to give this book to Pandu and Elysia his son and daughter in law, also as wedding souvenirs to those coming at the merry reception last Jan. 7. Also titled in English as A Father’s Gift, the book consists of 50 selected poems by this celebrated Indonesian poet. I really think it’s a highly interesting and original book. But you'd perhaps think of me as being very biased here... ;-D
